Freedom Warming Center
The Good Samaritan Shelter administers the Freedom Warming Center (FWC) program in Santa Barbara County. Carpinteria Community Church partners with the City of Carpinteria in providing compassion & care to those less fortunate.
November 15 - March 31
Each year, during the FWC Season, November 15 – March 31, on nights when the temperature is expected to be at or near freezing and/or at least a 50% chance of rain, homeless guests in Carpinteria are invited to spend the night in a warm, dry, safe place.

Guests are checked in by FWC staff beginning at 6:00 PM and depart by 6:00 AM.

When Carpinteria Community Church is activated by FWC for a night, our loving volunteers serve a warm meal and provide caring hospitality to guests.
Please contact the Church if you have any questions or would like to participate in this Gospel ministry.
